Phantom!!

Spencer got me tix to Vegas' Phantom of the Opera. It was amazing, thoroughly enjoyed it. They had all kinds of illusions that David Copperfield helped with and pyrotechnics. Way different than when I saw it in San Francisco. We had great seats on the floor 6th row, way fun night!

New Fave Restaurant

Spencer is officially addicted to Zaba's, in Henderson(NV) too bad there isn't one in Utah. Ash and Tyson treated us to lunch there before we left. I won't have to eat until tomorrow. So yum!!

Valentines day highlights

My kids class Valentines, Brooklyn and I made flower and camo duct tape pens, Gavin gave glow sticks, got sweet mustaches and goodies from some secret Valentines;) Noah was pretty excited with his Valentines basket carries it around all day.

Never a dull moment..

Last night after dinner Spencer and I were taking a short break on the couch before he had to go down to his office to study, when I realized I hadn't seen Noah in a while. Immediately concerned I went to find him and found a disaster in the bedroom. Sharpie all over his body, the walls, the sheets you name it! Well not only that, but lately he has decided he doesn't like to go potty in his diaper anymore, so he just takes it off and goes potty anywhere, so far those places have been his crib(4 times!) and now Gavin's room twice. It's enough to make me CRAZY! So he left me a nice mess to clean up..ugh! I'm going to have to duct tape his diaper from now on!

Best of friends..worst of enemies

Brooklyn and Gavin right now are either best friends or worst enemies. Most of the time they do well together but every now again we have an all out war break out. It doesn't surprise me I the least however, because they remind me of my brother and I to a tee. My brother was such a tease and loved to get a reaction out of me, and he definitely did! It wasn't until I hit about 16 when I realized if I ignored it he would stop, because it wasn't fun for him anymore. So I'm settling in for the long haul. Brooklyn and i have had many tearful conversations where she asks me why we can't "send Gavin to a new family" (makes perfect sense, right? In an 8yo mind). I try to empathize with her an tell her u went through the same exact thing and to try ignore the teasing then it will (hopefully) get better sooner than later. We shall see.

Brooklyn attacked Gavin with a marker last night, luckily it wasn't permanent !! He's definitely not the culprit of all the shenanigans!!

Total fluke

So the kids and were playing basketball outside and Noah brought his little bike out for a boost of height while he was trying to shoot the ball. Well, Gavin made a shot and the ball landed at just the perfect angle and broke the handle clean off!! Needless to say Noah was devastated repeating "bi..bi"(bike) while trying to reattach the handle poor kid.

Mr. Mop

Will I ever learn to keep the water dispenser on the fridge locked?? Noah did me a favor by getting the mop and using the water dispenser from the fridge to get it wet and clean the floor. How could I get mad though when he is saying "I keen mom" (I clean mom) seriously if he wasn't so cute I'd go insane with his busyness.

Manila Beach Party

Kids had a blast tonight dancing the night away at their school's beach party, I'm exhausted! At least they enjoyed themselves:)

Fishing lessons

When talking about fishing lessons with Gavin he asked if they teach you before you fish, I said yes. Then he said: "so they lesson you and then you get to fish!!" ha. Now he is planning all the gear he's going to bring..he's all about the "tools" just like his dad:)

Did I mention I LOVE Crossfit?

Seriously the best thing I've done. What makes it even better? These people right here, my 5:45 p.m. class. They seriously rock! At the beginning of the year our box had us write out goals on the board. One of mine was 20 double unders in a row. Last night I hit it!! Yay! Now on to my next goal..pull ups without bands..so excited for this.

Big brother

Noah wants to do everything Gavin does, which is really hard considering there is 4 years between them. Also the fact that Gavin thinks he is 15 instead of 5, does not help. Today it was so nice outside I took the boys outside to play...in February none the less! Gavin was playing with some squirt guns and of course Noah had to have one as well. When Gavin put his gun in his pocket, Noah had to as well. Well since he only had faux-pockets this was the next best thing!!

Little bugger..

This little bugger pushes stools, chairs and anything else he can find over to places he wants to get into. I've had to tie the kitchen chairs together and put all the stools on top of the counter. Then, he pushed my big huge bench across the kitchen..such a busy boy he is!
