Brotherly love

Brooklyn upset at me for making her do her chores before television today starts to cry. Noah watching her says to me: "My sister so mad? I take her a kiss"
He comes back "I didn't take a kiss to Brookwyn, she's so mad.." What a sweet brother.

Noah

All day today Noah would come up to me and ask "Mom, are you ready to be nice now?" Haven't said that to him a million times lately or anything.

He finally conquered the word "4-wheeler." He has called it "fear-weewer" for a while but tonight he said "mom,
FOR-wee-LLLerrr." Then just kept repeating it over and over, because he was so proud of himself.

Prayers tonight went something like this:
Mom: " bless mom and dad"
Noah: bless we go I-ho (Idaho)
Mom: bless Brooklyn and Gavin
Noah: bless we go I-ho
Mom: bless Noah can be nice
Noah: bless we ride 4-wheelers
I guess at least he got the bless part right, that kid has a one-track mind!

Climbing Mount Timpanogos Sept. 2012

The hardest and most rewarding thing I have done. Spencer and I, along with my parents and friends Annie Douglas, Chrie Valadez and Sheena Brown. I couldn't believe how hard it gone towards the top with the elevation. You could barely catch your breath. Loved it! Will be doing it again.

Steamboat Springs

Fish Creek Falls, this hike was 6 miles round trip and our kids did amazing, so proud of them!

Went to a little theater on Main Street to see "Brave" and there were seriously only six rows in the entire theater, but it was a full house!

We went to this really cool hot spring pool called Strawberry Park Hot Springs, The pools start out hot towards the beginning of the spring and get cooler as each one goes towards the river, sooo much fun.

We had a restaurant recommended to us by some tourists in town.  It was called Freshies and it was soo delicious, fresh, whole food so great and so hard to find!

Diaper free and loving it.

This big boy potty trained in August.  I wasn't quite ready, but he totally was.  He was changing his own diaper like eight times a day.  I figured it would be cheaper to buy some underwear, rather than pay for all those diapers.  It took a good two weeks, but he did it, so sad that my baby isn't really a baby anymore.  Love this Noah boy.

Television pros and cons

Noah and I share the same attitude about tv. Like the shows DISLIKE commercials. Noah doesn't have much interest in the tv, but recently he has started watching a show here or there. These pics are from the first time he actually sat down and watched a show. He had thee hugest tantrum when the commercial came on. He was screaming "choo-choo train!!" at this point I realized that DVR-ing his shows is just as important as recording mine. I mean who watches live television anyway ;)

Tennis love

Gavin has been on a tennis kick. Spencer took him one night before he left for Europe and he and Noah had a blast. Today we went to the park for a birthday party and my brother-in- law Chris offered to play with him for a while and then his cousin Braxton also played with him, needless to say he ha a very good day.

End of an era...

Well I just got home from the airport, where I dropped off this amazing guy.  He was on a non-stop flight to Paris, then on to Prague.  He will be there for a week and then head to Rome for another week.  This is all part of his final class at the U of U in the Executive MBA program.  The last 20 months have felt like forever, but at the same time flew by.  I am so proud of him and all his hard work.  The last couple months have really tested him, at work he has been really busy.  He has pulled many a late nights and even raised $4000 for the Make-A-Wish foundation within a couple days for a team project he had.  I am glad that he can go on this trip and relax, but I am really going to miss him.  It isn't even the fact he won't be there to help out, because honestly it has really just been me the last two years, because he has been really busy and I have really had to take care of everything pretty much.  More than that it is just calling my best friend to tell him whatever random thing I'm thinking about, or a funny thing the kids did, etc.  He is going to communicate through Skype when he is done in the evening, but still I already feel so disconnected not being able to call him whenever I want.  The best part though?  When he comes home he will be done! When I told the kids that at the end of April, he was done with school.  They asked me "until when?"  I told them he was done forever.  They started jumping up and down they were so excited.  This is the end of an era for us.  It has been challenging sacrificing for this, but now I can say it was all worth it.  Can't wait to see this smiling face in two weeks :)

2 years for Noah

Noah turned 2 on March 31st, some things to remember about him.
*mad obsession with keys
*loves anything with a motor especially "ki-cles" motorcycles
*we call him "No-no" and I think that delayed his learning the word "yes" he just barely started saying it!
*talks a ton, lots of stuff I have no idea
*loves "nooknin" Brooklyn and "nan" Gavin.
*loves to get step stools and take them all over the house to get into everything!
* gets into everything! Especially loves water
*always wants to wear his boots Grandma gave him, wears a size 4 shoe, and 18 mo clothes, some 24 mo.
*weighs 23 lbs and is ? inches.
*will play outside for hours even in the snow, loves to be with brother and sister.
*sings "I am a Child of God" and says own prayers.
* only thing he will really watch is Rapunzel
*strong willed and can usually get his way, he does not back down.
I sure love this boy, he keeps me on my toes and has so much personality! Love u Noey.
