He's right...

Me: Gavin, go in and go potty before we leave.

Gavin: I already did

Me: This morning? When did you go?

Gavin: When I was two (holding his two fat pudgy fingers up making a peace sign)

Can't argue with that reasoning...

I did NOT get into your make-up...

The other morning I walked in from the gym and the kitchen was dark, but I can hear Gavin walking toward me saying "Mom, I did NOT get into your make-up!" I flip on the lights to which I see, the overwhelming evidence that this is not exactly true. I quickly whip out my camera take a picture and show Gavin. Then I say "Gavin, look at this picture, you are not telling the truth."

Then he gets upset because he realizes he's not going to get away with this, puts his head down and says: "Don't say that Mom..." It really is terrible getting caughtGavin all guilt-ridden...

Why I Love Our Street

We sure have gotten a lot of snow this season and I took the opportunity to take a picture of our street covered in snow. This was one of the reason's we decided to build our home here, because of the street! There are so many tall mature trees and we really just love it. Our house doesn't have any trees now, but hopefully this spring it will and can blend it with the rest of our neighbors!

New Year's Day

I know this is a bit late, but I just found these pictures. On New Year's Day we wanted to go out and do something with the kids. The great thing lately is that our kids are finally getting to an age where we can go do fun things and they do really well. With Brooklyn going on six and Gavin almost three it is really fun. We decided to go to Olive Garden, one of the few sit-down restaurants where our kids will actually eat the food. They were so great, sat so nice, it was heaven really. Then we decided to take them miniature golfing at Trafalga in Orem. We hadn't been there for years and they made the inside course glow-in-the-dark which was fun for our kids. They didn't exactly follow the rules for the miniature golfing but they had a blast! Afterwards they played some arcade games. Brooklyn wanted to play air hockey and it was funny because everytime she got a goal she would giggle so hard that she started to make the people around us laugh. One man said that was the cutest laugh he'd heard. Anyway all in all a fun and rewarding day with the kids.

Storytelling time...

Brooklyn's favorite thing to do lately is tell Spencer and I a story before she goes to bed, that she makes up. Tonight Spencer was out of town, so I read to both of the kids in Brooklyn's room. After we read Brooklyn told me a story, then I had to make up one of my own to tell her. Well, for the first time Gavin wanted to tell his story. Here it is...
Once upon a time I shoot a wabbit...um once upon a time Justin(he's my little cousin, who Gavin calls his best friend lately) shoot a wabbit...you(speaking to us gills (girls)as he calls us) can't have guns only us can (meaning the boys)...the end. And Spencer claims that taking my two-year old hunting isn't a big deal!! Hello my son's very first story is about killing something! Whatever...
