Easter morning..

I always have high hopes for some amazing pictures of my kids on Easter morning all dressed up and matchy matchy..let's get real though.  Since Noah became mobile he is pretty tough to get pictures of unless he is in his highchair...strapped in :)

The outfits and pictures are all good and fun, but I really am so grateful today for my Savior and the sacrifice he made for me. I get to raise these beautiful children and be with them for eternity because of it and it is truly a blessing.

I was kind of stressed today, because I was giving the Easter lesson in sharing time today, and Noah was really tired and Spencer teaches 2nd hour, so I have Noah.  I wasn't sure how well he would do for someone else while I taught.  It all worked out though and it was great.  I was so thankful at the end of church for the Lord blessing me and allowing me to feel the Spirit and teach the children about the resurrection.  Jesus was resurrected and I will be too!

I did it!

So,  I have always wanted to do a half-marathon, but training for one takes a lot of commitment and the timing has never worked out.  I am turning 30 this year and wanted to check it off my bucket list before then, so my friend Melissa committed me to run one this spring.  I picked the Salt Lake City Half Marathon.  I trained for 10 weeks and I felt pretty good going into this.  My longest run I did before we ran the 13.1, was 12.  At the end of our 12miler I was pretty tired but not dying! I knew I could do another mile.  The day of the race was so great.  I felt great and ended strong! In fact, I really wanted a negative split, but was worried I was going too fast at the first, but I beat the first half by 5 minutes! Wahoo! Anyway great experience, can't wait to do it again.

My Noah is ONE!

I took this pic the morning of his birthday, so sweet and peaceful.  This kid is very busy and feisty as well.  Noah's milestones at age ONE:

*walks everywhere, tries to climb up on everything, has fallen off a few things
*feeds self, except his bottle he cries if you don't cuddle him and hold it for him..I'm a sucker I do it, even though it is a real pain sometimes.
*blows kisses, claps, and shakes finger at you to say "no,no"
*says "uh-oh", "dada","mama", "cheese", "ouch"-while pinching you
*pretty good eater, will eat almost anything you eat, pretty much skipped baby food.
*still allergic to milk unfortunately-we learned that the hard way when I gave him some lactose free whole milk and he was up screaming all night :(
*weighs 20 lbs (25%) and 27 1/2" (not on the charts) I've got a shorty, none of my kids were ever below the 50% for height when they were babies, Noah just may have inherited my short gene..
*Takes 2-two hour naps and goes to sleep for about 10 hours. Loves his crib and his noisemaker, I love his noisemaker...sometimes I wake up and really think it is raining.HA!
*Also has some seriously small feet, wears size 1! There really aren't too many good walking shoes that come in size 1, Gavin was like a size 4 by now, oh well.

Noah REALLY enjoyed his cake, in fact he grabbed a big handful of frosting before we could even sit him all the way down in his highchair.

Opening his "present" that I tried to trick him with because  he figured out what I was really getting him! This kid is too smart for his own good.  He added the paint tape and Brooklyn's bow, because apparently I hadn't decorated it enough.

His real present a punching bag, that he absolutely LOVES, and  I love it because you can really expend  some energy on this thing...which is exactly why I got it for Gavin, the other morning he told me *tough voice* "Mom, I'm gonna go exercise upstairs with my punching bag" So funny.

We had a dino party, including a fun hunt to find some "real" dinosaur eggs...ok not real but pretty cool eggs I made out of paper mache and had toy dinosaurs inside them.

Gavin loves Legos, so I made him a giant lego cake.

mmmm...cake and ice cream!!!

Congrats Ash & Tyse!

 Well another one of my little sis' is married! Ashlyn
married Tyson Parker on March 11th.  I couldn't
be more happy for her.  They are a very cute couple
and Tyson is super funny and fits in with our family
well.  They are living in Henderson, NV for now... ;)
We are crossing our fingers he gets into the U or BYU's
Law programs so they can move here!  We love you guys!

Brooklyn's Spring Performance

 Spencer and Noah waiting for the show to begin.  Brooklyn really enjoyed Broadway Bound this year, for their Spring performance, they did scenes from Tony Award Winning musicals.  Brooklyn was super excited because they did Annie and Lion King, along with many others.  She played Miss Hannigan in Annie and did an amazing job.  She felt pretty important when they attached her microphone to her, she did however think it was really odd having the battery pack strapped to the back of her pants! I love how fearless she is, she is such a great performer and I really love that she shares my affinity for musicals!!
