Fairview Fun

This weekend we took a camping trip with the Heelis Family. We went up to Fairview. For those who don't know where that is, you go up Spanish Fork canyon. Fairview is so beautiful, it is probably one of my new favorite places to camp. The mountains are covered in pine and aspen trees, there are TONS of little roads everywhere to ride your four-wheeler.The last two years we have camped by Gooseberry Reservoir which has a lot a fish. Just ask Matt Heelis, he is the master fisherman, and at one time had four poles going, he made it fun for the kids because he was able to help each of them catch a fish.

Saturday was a beautiful day, so we decided to take the four-wheelers out. We had all four of us on ours and the Heelis' had five on theirs! We were gone for two hours I couldn't believe it. It was a lot of fun though. We saw our friends the Smarts up there too, they were taking a ride with their cute little family, it was fun to see more friends up there.

Gavin has an obsession with our trailer keys. This key ring also has the four-wheeler key on it. He would start to bawl if he didn't have them in his possession at all times. So, when we went on the ride he had to have one hand on the key, and the other on the handlebar, so he could steer of course.

Brooklyn got her ears pierced for her fifth birthday and was thrilled, that the "momma cow has earrings too!" We saw lots of cattle on our ride.

Our camp was super dusty and the kids loved every minute of it. They looked like racoons most of the time from dirt getting all over their faces. Gavin had perma-dirt on his feet, because the shoes I packed him were a little snug, and he kept telling me his shoes were "too fat." Actually it was his feet that were too fat! So he barefooted it most the time, he has some pretty tough feet, thats for sure.

It was so relaxing and it was the first time we went camping when I was not really worried about our kids leaving camp or getting into too much trouble. Thanks Heelis family we had a great time!
